This A-6E TRAM ser.no 155713 has a low visibility scheme of VA-128 (Navy Attack Squadron 128) Whidby Island NAS, Washington, ca. Eventually the TRAM (Target Recognition Attack Multi-sensor) turret was installed in the Intruders to provide even better target recognition at night and in bad weather using infrared cameras and laser target designators. The A-6E featured up-graded targeting sensors and computers as well as new engines. This Intruder is at Palm Springs museum is at A-6E 154162, ex VA-36. It is at the USS Midway museum in San Diego. On the starboard side she's wearing 'NF-511' in VA-115 marks. This particular aircraft is an A-6E Intruder 151782 'NL-512' in VMAW-224 markings.
